Slide rule for computation of prodn. cost of item - uses four scales, of which two move, and pivoted nomogram cursor at end on one of moving scales

The slide rule mechanism includes a flat support (1) having two graduated scales (K1,K2) lying parallel, and third and a fourth graduated scales (K3,K4) which move perpendicularly one relative to the other. The third scale (K3) lies perpendicular to the first two scales and is fixed to the bottom edge of the support. The fourth scale (K4) slides transversely in a carrier (2) which slides along the fixed scale (K3), and has an uncalibrated arm pivoted at its end. The uncalibrated arm is long enough to span both the first two scales so as to serve as a nomogram cursor. ADVANTAGE - Allows quick computation of production cost of a manufactured item.
