PURPOSE:To obtain a bathing agent, improved in floating, foaming, etc., of fumaric acid occurring in dissolving a bathing agent in hot bath and containing inexpensive fumaric acid and carbonate, by treating the fumaric acid with respective specific amounts of ethylene glycol and a specific nonionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A bathing agent, obtained by using more inexpensive fumaric acid than citric acid, etc., which has hitherto been normally used as an organic acid and treating the fumaric acid with polyethylene glycol in an amount of >=0.2wt.% based on the above-mentioned compound and a nonionic surfactant having >=7 HLB in an amount of >=0.02wt.%-<0.1wt.% based on the aforementioned compound in a bathing agent containing an organic acid effective in generating bubbles of gaseous carbon dioxide in hot bath, enhancing relaxing or refreshing feeling and providing pleasure of bathing and a carbonate containing preferably >=5wt.% alkaline metal carbonate and capable of suppressing floating or foaming of the fumaric acid and rapidly eliminating even foaming caused by stirring the hot bath after dissolution. |
