1305969 Rigid laminated panel H SULLHOFER 4 June 1970 [4 June 1969] 27117/70 Heading B5N An insulating element for roofs and walls comprises a rigid foam core 11, e.g. of polyurethane, enclosed by sheathing layers 12,13, one of which is a metal or plastics sheet provided with inwardly-extending projections, formed by folds 14 which may be opened out at their apices 16 to give portions of triangular cross-section for increased resistance to warping. The folded sheet may be made by assembling a plurality of bent sheets. A recess 20 may be provided for lateral assembly of the panels. The layer 12 may be smooth or ribbed polyvinyl chloride and may be applied preformed or as a coating. |
