摘要

PURPOSE:To enable superquick charge by making the content of the cadmium hydroxide in a negative electrode active material below 0.95 in a weight ratio to the nickel hydroxide in a positive electrode active material, and containing metal gallium in the negative electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of the cadmium hydroxide in a negative electrode active material is below the contents of the positive electrode active material in a discharge state, that is, the hydrogen generation from a negative electrode plate at the time of charging is occurred concurrently with the finish of charging of a positive electrode plate or before the finish, moreover metal gallium or gallium oxide is contained in the negative electrode active material. This enables the reliable alkaline battery possible quick charge obtainable by a simple method in which changing is controlled by only detecting the rise of charge voltage.
