Extrusion of two or more thermoplastic films from a common die, and thermoforming of air pockets in one film on perforated belting passing over a drum roller with a suction zone just prior to contact and lamination with the other film layer(s) before the films become too cool for fusion (the underside of the vacuum embossed layer may be promptly chilled). The beling is made of flexible, heat-resistant rubber or plastic, is readily interchangeable to form different sizes of shapes of pockets.
