PURPOSE:To make it possible to open and close a mold and clamp it from both sides, by putting both screw parts of a drive shaft respectively to the screw receiving members provided respectively in the center of an operating block and that of mold clamping block and converting the rotating force at said drive shaft into a moving force of simultaneous movement of both mold clamping blocks. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical screw receiving member 12 is provided through the center of the side of an operating block 4 and a screw receiving member 13 is fixed on a cylindrical part projecting to the back center of a mold clamping inner block 13. Screw receiving members 12, 13 and screw parts 7a, 7b of a drive shaft 7 are joined together through balls, and the rotation of the screw parts 7a, 7b is converted into thrust by both screw receiving members 7a, 7b in fixed state, said thrust being served to move the operating block 4 and the mold clamping inner block 13 in the opposite direction. The amount of movement of the operating block 4 is equal to that of a mold clamping inner block 6 as far as the pitch of screw is same for said both blocks, and all movements occur simultaneously. The mold clamping outer block 5 and the mold clamping inner block 6 move at the same time mutually in opposite directions by means of the rotation of the drive shaft 7, and a pair of molds 14, 15 attached on the opposing sides of both mold clamping blocks are opened and closed at the center line y-y between both mold clamping blocks. |
