PURPOSE:To improve vertical resolution and dynamic resolution by providing a light receiving part corresponding to one-frame components of picture elements and alternately reading out odd and even lines constituting one frame to a field and sweeping away the stored electric charge of the light receiving part in each field. CONSTITUTION:Gates 62 and 64 are alternately in each vertical blanking period of each field by (a) and (b), and a gate 67 is turned on (d) at a prescribed timing in each field. Then, a signal is read by said frame read, and all of the stored electric charge of each photodetector 61 is swept away at the timing when the gate 67 is turned on. Consequently, the electric charge is stored in each photodetector 61 only during the period from turning-on of the gate 67 to turning-on of the gate 62 or 64, and the storage time of the image electric charge is about 1/60 seconds and the dynamic resolution is improved. That is, the vertical resolution is improved by frame read, and the dynamic resolution is improved by sweeping-away of all of the stored electric charge in each field. |
