PURPOSE:To prevent the middle as a center from projecting to an axial direction while passage resistance is minimized by forming a plurality of stop protrusions which alternately stand upright in a front and a rear direction on both side edges in a width direction of flat plate and stopping overlapped corrugated plates using the stop protrusion. CONSTITUTION:Belt-like flat plate 4 and corrugated plate 5 are overlapped and tightened into a column-like form to form a honeycomb-like multichannel member 2 consisting of a plurality of honeycomb passages 6 in an axial direction. Then a plurality of stop protrusions 7 (inner direction protrusion 7a, outer direction protrusion 7b) which alternately stand upright to a front and a rear direction are formed on both side edges in a width direction of the flat plate 4 coinciding with the axial direction of the multichannel member 2. Consequently, the middle as a center is prevented from projecting in an axial direction, while an increase in the passage resistance is minimized, and productivity can be improved by decreasing assembly manhours. |
