According to the present invention, particles of a powdered metal are coated with thin film of a metal-organic compound containing a phosphate, and the powder is heat-treated in various kinds of atmosphere, whereby a film of a metal compound of phosphate having a high acid resistance at a high temperature is formed on the surfaces of particles of the metal powder. The manufacturing of this metal powder is done by producing fine metal powder in an inert atmosphere, adding phosphate or a phosphate-containing organic solvent solution to the metal powder in an inert atmosphere before the fine metal powder has been taken out to the atmospheric air, to form film of a phosphate-containing metal-organic compound on the surfaces of the particles of the fine metal powder, and then heating the metal powder at a temperature of 200-450 DEG C to convert the compound into a metal compound of phosphoric acid, whereby films of a high oxidation resistance at a high temperature are formed. |
