PURPOSE:To save reporting forms, to shorten time necessary for adjustment, and to improve the efficiency of a remote operation by determining the existence of the issuing of an adjustment report by an electronic cash register using an adjustment report information discriminating means based on adjustment report information after adjustment processing is completed. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit (a host computer) 1 adds the adjustment report information to indicate whether the adjustment report is to be issued or not in an adjustment command, sends the command concerned to the side of an electronic cash register C, and makes the electronic cash register C execute the adjustment processing. After the adjustment processing, the electronic cash register C determines the existence of the issuing of the adjustment report using the adjustment report information discriminating means based on the adjustment report information. Consequently, it is possible to make the electronic cash register C execute the issuing of the adjustment report after the completion of its adjustment job only in case of necessity when the host computer 1 makes the electronic cash register C execute the adjustment job with the remote operation. Thus, the reporting forms can be saved, the time necessary for the adjustment can be shortened, and the efficiency of the remote operation can be improved. |
