<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a copying work time at a sorter used in combination with a copying machine or the like, by conducting an automatic sorting according to the memorized number of sorted sheets, for the sorting of copying paper at the 2nd copy and on. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of copying paper 4 delivered from an image generating device 1 is sorted on a bin tray by means of a sorting mechanism 2, and the sheet of copying paper 4 is detected by means of a paper sensor 3 and a time interval between sheets of copying paper is detected on the basis of the output of the paper sensor 3 by means of a time interval detection means 5. Also, it is detected by means of a copy change detection means 6 on the basis of the time interval detected by the detection means 5 that a copy has been changed at the image generating device 1. The number of sorted sheets is detected at a sorted sheet number detection means 7 on the basis of a copy change decision detected by the detection means 6 and the output of the sensor 3, and the number of these sheets is memorized by means of a memory means 8. And, a sorting command means 9 gives a command to the sorting mechanism 2 regarding the 2nd copy and on.</p> |
