A process is used for coating domestic utensils with an anti-adhesion layer. One surface of the domestic utensil is provided by the plasma-spraying process with several coats (20, 21, 22, 23) of a sintered material layer (20 to 23) on top of each other, using different sintered material powders. The sintered material layer (20 to 23) is then provided with an anti-adhesion layer (24, 25). In order to improve the adhesion of the layers to the surface of the domestic utensil and above all to increase the mechanical stability of the layers, the grain size of the sintered material powder used increases from the surface upwards (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
