PURPOSE:To completely seal a splash of oil in a speed reducer to prevent the possibility of the winding machine to be impossible to hold a cage due to lowering of brake force by providing an oil ring outside an oil seal in the winding machine for an elevator provided with a disc brake. CONSTITUTION:In a winding machine for an elevator, a spline hub 3 is fitted onto the top of a prolonged input shaft 30 of a speed reducer, a brake lining 5 is sintered on a spline disc 4 engaged with the spline hub, and an amature 9 constantly pressed against the brake lining 5 by a disc 7 fixed by a pin 6 and a push-spring 8 functions as a brake to stop the rotation of the input shaft 30 and hold a cage. With the oil in the speed reducer, most of oil is sealed by an oil seal 39 outside a bearing 32, but there is the possibility of adherence of a splash of oil to the brake lining 5. Then, an oil ring 12 consisting of an elastic body is located between the oil seal and the coil case 11, and slidably pressed between them, thereby a very small quantity of oil is adapted to be sealed. |
