Contactless aerosol seal

The invention relates to a contactless aerosol seal between two gas spaces and having a shaft penetration, the seal being designed as a radial compressor, the pressure side of which is on the same side as the aerosol source. While, because of their relatively high inertia, solid and liquid aerosol particles are retained in the aerosol-containing gas space, the aerosol-free gas can flow between the gas spaces and also counter to the direction of delivery of the radial compressor. This seal without an auxiliary medium thus remains effective even when there is a drop in the rotational speed of the shaft penetration owing to operating conditions.
