<p>Supertwist liquid crystal display elements with a characteristic curve of preferred slope are obtained if the nematic liquid crystal mixture obeys the following conditions: a nematic phase range of at least 60°C, a viscosity of 30 mPa.s or less, and Δε/ε < 2.0, where Δε is the dielectric anisotropy and ε the dielectric constant in the direction of the shorter axis of the liquid crystal molecule.</p> |
