PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure antigen or antibody with high sensitivity by simple operation in a short time, by separating a bath containing aqueous solution of electrolyte with double-layer films on which the antibody or the antigen is fixed, and forming one surface of the double-layer films with a porous film. CONSTITUTION:Antibody or antigen is fixed on double-layer film 3. Aqueous solution of electrolyte is contained on both sides of a porous film 2 of the double-layer films 3. A sample containing antigen or antibody is dropped into a bath 5 containing said aqueous solution. The reaction of the antigen or the antibody is made to occur with the double-layer films 3. The antigen or the antibody in the sample is detected and determined by measuring the resultant potential difference. The porous film 2 is used as one surface of a sensor. Many communicating cells are provided in the porous film 2, and the substantial area of the film is increased. Thus a large amount of the antibody or the antigen is incorporated stably. Therefore, the antigen or the antibody in the sample reacts with the antibody or the antigen in the film efficiently. Thus, the potential difference is amplified to a large extent, and the antigen or the antibody can be measured with high sensitivity. |
