For feeding yarn to looms so-called yarn racks are used, on which are mounted protruding bobbin holders for receiving the yarn bobbins. In connection with large carpet looms there may be several thousand bobbins. The racks normally consist of welded frame structures with bobbin holders welded thereto, and it is a very demanding task to construct the racks and effect changes therein. By the invention the racks are constructed by means of profiled rails (2, 8) having undercut holding tracks (4, 10) for receiving clamp shoes (16), which may then be used for an easily movable securing of the yarn bobbin holders (22) and the profiled rails or the profiled lattice posts (8), respectively, on which posts the bobbin holders are placed. Such racks may be mounted and changed in an easy and cheap manner, without any specially qualified performance. The profiled rails may also be used for fixing and receiving guide tubes (32) for the yarn, and preferably rotatable bobbin holders (22) are used, whereby a large rack battery will take up far less space than when using fixed bobbin holders. |
