PURPOSE:To perform high speed recording without deteriorating image quality, by a method wherein nozzles are arranged over (m) stages in a sub-scanning direction so that (n) ones are arranged to each of the stages in a main scanning direction and the ink color arrangements of the nozzles of (m) stages are made different between the adjacent stages. CONSTITUTION:A head 10 consists of three stages A, B, C and each of the stages is equipped with four nozzles 11 and the ink color arrangements to the nozzles of the respective stages are different between odd and even number stages and each odd number stage is set to Y, M, C, BK and the even number stage is set to BK, C, M, Y. The head mechanism provided corresponding to each of the nozzles 11 is constituted so that a nozzle 3 is mounted to a sub-tank 2 to which the supply tube 1 communicating with an ink tank is connected and a piezoelectric element 4 as an emitting energy generator is mounted to the nozzle 3. When pulse voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element 4, pressure is instantaneously generated in the nozzle 3 and an ink droplet 5 is emitted from the nozzle 3 to be bonded to and absorbed by a material to be recorded. The overlap order of inks can be made different with respect to before and behind lines and a recording speed can be increased without deteriorating image quality. |
