PURPOSE:To provide thin-film elements having a large number of turns of coils for high density and to prevent the attraction between a magnetic disk plate and a magnetic head slider by forming the surface shape of the rails of the magnetic head slider to an arc shape when said shape is viewed at the cut end perpendicular to the moving direction of the magnetic disk plate. CONSTITUTION:The surface shape of the respective rails 6 of the magnetic head slider 5 which has the plural rails 6 each having the surface to form an air bearing by facing the magnetic disk plate and has the thin-film elements 1 at one longitudinal end of at least one rails 6 is formed to the shape constituting a part of the cylindrical face having the center line parallel with the longitudinal direction of the respective rails 1. Namely, said surface shape constitutes an arc shape when the shape is viewed at the cut end perpendicular to the moving direction 7 of the magnetic disk plate. The number of coils of the thin- film elements 1 is thereby increased and the attraction with the magnetic head plate is prevented. |
