<p>A scanning imaging system in which the viewing (42A) and reproduction (42B) functions are integrated into a single scanning head (42). The system provides for simultaneous imaging. This is, the signal as scanned is immediately transmitted and available for viewing. There is no need to intermediate storage of the signal in a buffer. The unique construction of the system allows for very economical production, thus providing very cost effective products. Some products that can embody the present invention are modems, FAX machines, copiers, and photographic equipment.</p> |
