A piezoelectric sonic generator for therapeutic applications comprises a plurality of piezoelectric transducers the front faces of which are arranged between a front electrode and a carrier electrode to which the high voltage is applied, and an electrically insulating material inserted in the spaces between the transducers. The sonic generator disclosed is characterised in that the electrically insulating material inserted in the spaces between the transducers eliminates defects, in particular disruptive channels.
