The invention relates to a concrete enclosing block for the design of gardens, parks and landscapes and having the same wall thickness, the wall surrounding an air space of the same height, and having insertable base panels for the closure of openings. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that, in the outline of an imaginary square, in each case two adjacent sides are curved outwards and the two other sides are curved inwards, not over their entire length, but centrally. Two adjacent sides may also be shifted away from the square, parallel to the side of the square in each case. The essential advantages consist in the fact that a single concrete encircling block can be laid in formation and it offers the possibility of erecting closed walls, in the case of which planting levels, which can better absorb rainwater, can be created at any location.
