Numerous problems arise in practice with conventional mixing processes and devices for obtaining intimate and homogenous mixing, because the mixtures constantly exhibit a non-negligible tendency to separate. To counteract this problem, a mixing container can be set in rotation about at least two axes of rotation (3, 6) simultaneously, with two degrees of liberty, which results in an improved quality of mixing. A substantially improved result in comparison with the prior art is obtained principally in the case of stochastic, i.e. randomly chosen speeds and directions of rotation. |
