The invention relates to a doctor blade holder with doctor pressure compensation, in particular for intaglio printing machines, in such a way that the basic body has, centrally, two bearing pins which are mounted with a predetermined spacing in a slide groove, running perpendicular to the scraping device, of the two doctor clamping jaws, the doctor being arranged so as to be rotatable and vertically displaceable, and spring elements being arranged on both sides of the bearing pins on the opposite side of the basic body provided with a groove. Clean scraping of the block with the least wear of the doctor and block is thus guaranteed with little expenditure, the contact between the doctor and the block being guaranteed at very low doctor pressures during the scraping operation at every point on the contact line between the doctor blade and the block surface. <IMAGE>
