Arrangement for reading out data in the form of an electrical charge distribution in a multilayered film (1), in which - a plurality of electrodes (5) are fitted opposite one another in a fixed position in relation to one another on a surface region of the multilayered film (1), - the electrodes (5) have regions (15) which are effective for information recording and form a plane parallel to the surface region of the multilayered film (1), - the electrodes (5) are relatively movable in a controlled manner parallel to the surface region of the multilayered film (1). Presented here is a version for electrophotography and the application as a RAM. If MNOS technology is used, pixel sizes of about 2 mu m and a grid spacing down to about 10 mu m are feasible, it being possible for the storage in the pixels to take place in analog form with a dynamic range up to about 10<3> or in digital form. <IMAGE>
