<p>A colour flat display system comprises a colour flat display device and a driving device for driving said flat display device. The driving device comprises three analog shift registers for storing analog picture signals for three respective primary colours. Analog signals from said shift registers are read out in a line-at-a-time-method. The advantage of using an analog storing means (13, 14, 15) instead of a digital storing means is, that only one D/A-converting means (21) is necessary and that the signals can be read out very easily in paralell manner. In a special driving method always only each third of segment electrodes is supplied with the picture signal. A blocking potential is supplied to the other segments in between the active segments receiving the colour signals.</p> |
