COLOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND COLOR IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain color images having high quality without having color slippage at a high speed by forming the spacing between a toner carrier of a developing device and an electrostatic latent image carrier to the spacing larger than the thickness of a toner layer and synthesizing and forming plural toner images on the electrostatic latent image carrier, then transferring the images onto a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Developing devices 3-6 are constituted by housing developing sleeves 73 into outside frames 76 via the spacing between dry toners 79 and a drum 12 which is assured larger than the thickness of the toner layer. The drum 1 is developed by the 1st developing device to the image of the 1st color by a head. A cleaner is held released during the passage of the toner image of the 1st color and the toner image enters the next stage without coming into contact with a blade. The electrostatic charge and development of the images of the respective colors are thereafter executed similarly by which the color images are formed on the drum. Recording paper 11 is then carried and is electrostatically charged and the toner images on the drum are transferred to the paper by which the color images are formed and fixed onto the paper. The high-quality color images having no color slippage are thereby obtd. at the high speed.
