<p>The present invention relates to car radios. In order to facilitate listening to a specified radio station whilst travelling over a long distance, a system is provided for automatic searching for the retransmission channels of the said station. The system comprises a memory card reader able to receive a card containing a series of items of information stored permanently, each item of information representing a retransmission frequency of one of the retransmitters for a chosen radio programme, the apparatus further comprising means for determining which, among these frequencies, is the one received with most power, and means for tuning the radio apparatus to this frequency and for altering the tuning when the power becomes higher at another frequency among the frequencies stored in memory.</p> |
