1296777 Herbicidal compositions BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 14 April 1970 [15 April 1969] 17624/70 Heading A5E A herbicidal composition comprises a mixture of a benzothiazinone dioxide of formula I in which R denotes methyl, ethyl or isopropyl or a salt thereof and at least one substituted oxadiazinedione of formula II in which X and Y are identical or different and each denotes hydrogen, fluorine or trifluoromethyl, or a phenylmethylcarboxymethoxy urea of formula in which R denotes a haloalkyl radical, preferably 1-chloromethylpropyl. Suitable salts include the potassium, sodium, calcium or magnesium salts. The composition may be applied to soil or plants in order to destroy unwanted plants and has good selective action on crop plants such as Indian corn, rice, wheat, barley. &c. The herbicidal compositions may be used as solutions, emulsions, suspensions or dusts. The solvents may be water hydrocarbons having boiling points higher than 150‹C. or organic liquids having boiling points greater than 150‹C and one or more functional groups, e.g. keto, ester, ether or amide. |
