PURPOSE:To prevent a direct contact of hot air with a human body and to enable an air conditioner to be installed at a corner of a room by a method wherein two line flow fans are arranged vertically at right and left locations within an indoor unit, air passages and blowing ports forming an angle of substantially 90 deg. are formed at right and left sides of the indoor unit and then two blowing airs are blown at an angle of substantially 90 deg. around the indoor unit. CONSTITUTION:Air passages 28 and 29 are independently formed by line flow fans 19 and 20, a casing 9 and stabilizers 17 and 18, respectively. An angle theta formed by each of blowing ports is set to have about 90 deg. or so and a blowing direction is set to have an angle of about 45 deg. from a center of an indoor unit 1 to a right side and a left side. When a cooling operation or a heating operation is carried out while the indoor unit 1 being arranged at a corner of a room with its suction part 3 being directed toward a corner opposite to the former one, indoor air is sucked through the suction part 3 of a front panel 2 under rotation of the line flow fans 19 and 20 driven by a fan motor, the indoor air is sucked through the suction part 3 of the front panel 2, passes through a heat exchanger 5, heat exchanged with it, divided into right and left flows with the casing 9, passes through independent air passages 28 and 29 and again the indoor air is blown into the room through blowing ports 15 and 16. |
