PURPOSE:To obtain the title plate which has the excellent image reproducibility and a less change of sensitivity and to make possible to develop the master plate with a developer which contains water or an aqueous alkaline solution as a main component by incorporating a photosensitive polymer compd. which has a specified group and one of carboxylic group or salt thereof in the side chain, and is soluble to the water and the aqueous alkaline solution, in the photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive polymer compd. which has at least two of groups shown by formula I or II in the side chain of the polymer, and at least one of carboxylic acid group or its salt and is soluble to the water or the aqueous alkaline solution, is incorporated in the photosensitive layer. In formulas I and II, A is aryl, a substd. arl, furyl or thienyl group, B is hydroxyl, alkoxyl, aryl, a substd. aryl or alkyl group, X is H or halogen atom., or CN group, etc., Y is H or halogen atom. or CN, phenyl or alkyl group, (n) is an integer of 0 or 1. Thus, the master plate which has the less change of the sensitivity and the good image reproducibility and makes possible to develop with a relatively mild developer, is obtd. |
