[Also in Division C2] In a pressure-sensitive recording material of the colour-reaction type, the reagents are a vanadate of an organo-substituted ammonium or pynidinium base, and an aromatic hydroxy compound. (For details of the vanadates and their preparation, see Division C2). At least one of the reagents is in solution in an organic solvent in microcapsules rupturable by printing pressure. The two reagents may be coated on to separate supports, or a single support may be coated with a layer or layers containing them. The support sheets may be of paper, triacetylcellulose, polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate or polyvinyl chloride. |
