<p>PURPOSE:To allow the optional overlap of areas to attain edition by operating a document manager for managing the structure of a document, plural edition programs formed in each data to edit the data of each area and display programs for displaying edition data as respectively independent tasks. CONSTITUTION:A document editing program consists of a document manager 300, plural edition programs 310 and layout display programs 320. Each edition program 310 executes the edition processing of one area out of areas displayed on a display screen displaying the printing image of at least one page, and when coordinates inputted to the edition program 310 area areas other than the one to be edited, generates a 1st message to the document manager 300 and the document manager 300 receiving the message starts its corresponding edition program 310 by regarding another area as the area to be edited. Consequently, the data of respective areas can be edited on the layout display screen while allowing the overlap of complex areas.</p> |
