PURPOSE:To prevent a drop in a color formation speed and fading after color formation, by a method wherein a solution in which a specified leuco pigment is dissolved in a hydrophobic solvent containing an aliphatic higher alcohol is dispersed into a hydrophilic medium and the dispersion product thus obtained is contained in a water-permeable layer. CONSTITUTION:A leuco pigment given by the formula (R<1>, R<2> and R<3> represent aryl group, alkyl group and aryl group allowed to be substituted) is dissolved into a hydrophobic solvent which is generally used in a stratified gelatin/silver halide color photographic photosensitive material containing aliphatic higher alcohol comprising univalent alcohol with a straight chain or a branch chain having 12-30C. Then, the hydrophobic solution is dispersed into an aqueous solution of a hydrophilic polymer with a colloid mill and an ultrasonic emulsifier. The dispersion product thus obtained is contained in a water-permeable layer. |
