INFRARED RAY TRANSMITTING GLASS AND GLASS FIBER USING SAID GLASS

摘要

PURPOSE:To form IR transmitting glass for a fiber having transmitting property in the wide wavelength region of 2-17mum and transmissivity with a small loss especially in the wavelength region of 6-13mum by introducing halogen into Ge-As-Te chalcogenide glass. CONSTITUTION:This IR transmitting glass consists of, by atom, 5-10% Ge, 35-45% As, 35-45% Te and 5-10% I. The pref. difference between the crystallization temp. and glass transition temp. of the chalcohalide glass is <=100 deg.C.
