The circuit has a subordinate Schmidt trigger circuit for dividing analog signal into a number of regions and encoding them. A registor (41), a Zenor diode (43), and a transistor (44) are connected betwen the analog input terminal and a first stage (16) of the Schmidt trigger circuit. The collector of a transistor (44) is connected to an analog input terminal and voltage regulating circuit connected to an inverting terminal of the Schmidt trigger circuit for level shifting of the input and reference voltages.
