The bank cheque (1) has one or more grid patterns (2) printed on it. Each of these consists of a dark background (3) containing light-coloured surfaces (4). Along one side of the grid pattern are indications of the digits, tens, hundreds, and thousands to be filled in on the cheque. Along another side not opposite the first is a row (10) containing the numbers 1 to 9.
