PURPOSE:To extend the recording and reproducing limit from one side, especially, the reproducing limit in a short wavelength range, by arranging two vertical magnetic heads on the side of a magnetic medium and winding a coil around one of them. CONSTITUTION:An Mo Permalloy having 50mu thickness is used for a main magnetic pole 4, and an Mo Permalloy having 1,500mu thickness is used for an auxiliary magnetic pole 6, and a coil 7 is wound around the auxiliary magnetic pole 6 to give 100 turns. The main magnetic pole and the auxiliary magnetic pole are placed 1,000mu apart from each other. In respect to a recording medium, an Mo Permalloy 2 having 50mu thickness is stuck onto an aluminum plate 3, and CrO2 is applied onto the Mo Permalloy 2 to 10mu thickness. A coil is wound around the main magnetic pole also with 100 turns for reference. When the experiment on a semimodel is performed with 400Hz under these conditions, reproducing voltage 1,200muV is obtained when the signal recorded by a vertical magnetic recording head is reproduced by this head. Similarly, reproducing voltage 1,200muV is obtained when the signal recorded by this head is reproduced by this head. The reproducing voltage generated in the coil which is wound around the main magnetic pole for reference is 4-5muV in both cases. |
