A decorative strip, foil or sheet in plastic or other material is produced by a liquid being applied in a predetermined pattern to a base. Decorative material is then introduced, preferably in powder form, after which that decorative material which has not been bound by the liquid is removed. The supply of liquid in a new pattern and decorative material which has a colour or structure different from that which was first supplied, as well as the said removal of excess material, is repeated until the desired final pattern has been obtained, after which the liquid is vaporized or made to be absorb into the decorative material and the obtained aggregate is melted or sintered, where appropriate following smoothing and application of further layers. <IMAGE> |
