The bar consists of a tubular body (2) with axial holes (4) at each end which receives a bolt (5) for attachment to connecting node components. An external ring (6) or washer is fixed to the projecting part of each bolt for rotation with it. The end holes are formed in removable inserts (13) which have a threaded part (13a) of the opposite hand to that of the bolt. The tubular body has threaded end portions (14a) complementary with those of the inserts, which are of greater diameter than the head portions (5a) of the bolts. ADVANTAGE - Simplified construction with reduced weight for given size of bar.
