The ultrasonic machinery tool is attached to an ultrasonic transducer providing longitudinal oscillations along a main axis (6) and comprises a sonotrode (4) secured to the transducer (1) via an intermediate fixing (7) at the rear end and supporting a tool crown (5) at the front end. The line (20) joining the cross-sectional centres of gravity of the machining tool (3) extends eccentric to the main axis (6) over a given length (l) to ensure that the tool crown (5) exhibits both an axial and radial oscillation component. The tool crown (5) may be coaxial to the main axis (6), with the sonotrode (4) being curved, or the tool crown (5) may be eccentric to the main axis (6).
