The invention relates to the coadministration in human or veterinary medicine of 1,2,3,9-tetrahydro-9-methyl-3-[(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl]-4H-c arbazol-4-one or its physiologically acceptable salt or solvate and dexamethasone or its physiologically acceptable salt or ester. The two active ingredients, which can be administered separately either simultaneously or successively or which can be present in combination in a single pharmaceutical product, are useful for the alleviation and/or prophylaxis of nausea and vomiting.
