A device is proposed for the closure of a connection point (10) of electrical conductors by means of insulating material (16, 18). To this end, the connection point (10) to the insulating material (16, 18) is placed in a compression space, which is formed by a horn (20) and an anvil (22), on an ultrasound welding device. The compression space is bounded by cut-outs (24, 26), which are in the form of grooves, in the horn (20) and in the anvil (22), the cut-out (26) in the anvil (22) being held in regions by the horn (20). <IMAGE>
