PURPOSE:To work a thin sheet with high accuracy in the correct position corresponding to the working position by driving discretely said sheet at both ends and detecting positioning marks at both ends then feeding backward the sheet by a prescribed rate and advancing again the sheet and detecting the marks. CONSTITUTION:A thin sheet is pulled up by suction cups 20, 22 and guides 38, 40 are projected to hold once the sheet. A pulse motor 54 is driven to rotate timing belts 50, 52 on both sides so that the sheet is supplied to a working section such as a cutting section 28. Paralleling mechanisms 62, 64 are provided on the moving plane 56a of the section 28 to parallel the sheet. The positioning marks on the surface of the sheet 10 are detected by photosensors 82 at both ends. A pulse motor 76 (the other end side is not shown) is driven and controlled in accordance with the detection signals thereof to return the sheet by a prescribed extent in the opposite direction and to feed again the sheet in the forward direction until the sensors 82 detect the marks. The sheet is thus driven and controlled discretely at both ends and is subjected to working such as cutting or pressing with high accuracy in the correct position. |
