An improved method of coating objects in an aqueous cathodic electrodeposition bath. The use of volatile organic coalescent solvents is eliminated by using a blocked crosslinking agent which is the reaction product of a polyetherpolyol and a polyfunctional isocyanate. The coatings are smooth, flexible and have high film build.
