MEANS FOR HOUSING FIBER JUNCTURE OF OPTICAL FIBER CABLE

PURPOSE:To enable taking out of a core to be changed over without affecting the communication of the other currently used transmission lines by discretely housing surplus fiber length holding and connecting members which hold the surplus length fibers at a permissible radius of curvature and have wiring pipes into the above means. CONSTITUTION:The fibers of optical fiber cable 16 of each transmission line are wound and held by the winding and holding part of one surplus core holding and connecting member 17 at the radius of curvature at which the surplus length part does not affect the communication. The juncture thereof is fixed to a juncture fixing member 18. The surplus fiber length holding and connecting members 17 are respectively housed in a housing frame 11 and the fibers of optical fiber cable 16 extending from the members 17 are respectively disposed in the wiring pipes. The optical fiber of the transmission line which is going to be changed over is thereby taken out without affecting the communication of the other currently used transmission lines and the contrast operation for checking the arbitrary optical fiber is easily executed.
