<p>PURPOSE: To simplify the card reader further more in comparison with a card reading and deleting device by making it up of a single unit having a path to receive a card to be read and a read head provided in the path, curving the path and not providing a moving part in the unit. CONSTITUTION: A path 14 to accept a card is provided in a main body 12 and its one end forms an insert port 16. A read head 18 is arranged in the path 14 and fixed in the path 14 without spring support. Furthermore, a couple of projections 20 are provided to the paths 14 before and after the read head 18. When the card is inserted to the cared insert port 16 into the path 14 and reaches the 1st projection 20, the card is bent upward and pressed into contact with the read head 20. The 2nd projection 20 acts like keeping the press contact state. The card is pushed till it collides with a stopper and then extracted from the insert port 16.</p> |
