PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and the sharpness of the title material by incorporating a specified yellow pigment forming coupler in at least one layer of a supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The yellow pigment forming coupler shown by formula I is incorporated in at least one layer of the supporting body. In formula I, R1 is an aliphatic or an aromatic group, R2 is an aromatic group, R3 is an aliphatic or an aromatic group, X1 is hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released by allowing it to react with the oxidant of an aromatic primary amine color developing main agent. The compounding amount of a compd. is different depending on the structure and the application of the compd., and is preferably 1X10<-7>-1mol., further preferably 1X10<-3>-0.5mol. per 1mol. of silver contd. in the same layer or its adjacent layer of the sensitive material. Thus, the color density of the coupler is improved, and the solubility against a high b.p. org. solvent of the coupler is improved, and the shelf-life of an image is improved. |
