<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the increase of the delay time for transmission and to improve the reliability of transmission by sending the packets having the same data on the same address to plural routes and carrying out the receiving processes of those packets in the order of arrival. CONSTITUTION:The header adding circuits 3 and 4 add the same transmission sequence numbers N(S) to the transmission data S together with the destination terminal addresses, and the logical channel numbers LCN of each route as headers and produce the transmission packets S1 and S2 to send them to the external output interfaces 6 and 7 for increment of the numbers N(S). A reception control circuit 5 confirms the matching properties between the addressed DA and its own address for the received packets R1 and R2 for identification of the route. Then the circuit 5 compares the numbers N(S) and the reception sequence numbers held at the terminal side and processes with preference those packets arrived earlier. While the delayed packets are disused and the reception sequence number held at the terminal side is replaced with the latest received transmission sequence number. As a result, the delay time of transmission is shortened.</p> |
