PURPOSE:To detect the damage and release in a roller hooking part with high accuracy, by combining an illumination apparatus with a CCD camera. CONSTITUTION:A crank shaft 10 is supported in a such a state that the axial center thereof is allowed to coincide with centers 22, 24 of rotation and a linear motor driver 38 is driven to move a CCD camera to a position where the total area of one place of a roller hooking part 18 enters a visual field. Next, when light R is allowed to irradiate from an illumination apparatus 30 and a stepping motor 26 is rotated to rotate the crank shaft 10, the camera 34 detects the intensity of the reflected light with respect to the total periphery of the roller hooking part 18. Since the intensity of the reflected light is displayed on an oscilloscope 40 at any time, the presence and position of damage/release can be detected on the basis of a change in the intensity of reflected light. |
